Nominated for “Roots Composer of the Year” at DMA Roots!
Fredrik Lundin and I have been nominated for Roots Composer of the Year at the Danish Music Awards Roots (DMA Roots) for the songs we wrote for Tone of Voice Orchestra's album Running From the Devil.
We were also nominated back in 2022 for our previous album, which received no fewer than four DMA Roots nominations! Though we didn't win any of the roots awards back then, the album did go on to win a DMA Jazz Award instead – and we were pretty thrilled about that!
Of course, we'll be showing up at this year's DMA Roots ceremony, doing our very best not to look too miserable if we "lose" AGAIN. The competition is strong, so who knows...
A huge thank you to all the wonderful musicians in our 10-piece band, Tone of Voice Orchestra, for being part of this musical adventure with us!
