OH PURITY
Politiken♥ ♥ ♥ ♥ ♥: “Et sugende smukt og innovativt genre møde"
“Vaerings starka sång blandes helt självklart med Barokksolistenes “komp”, det blir verkligen “EN” musik….Gennemgående vacker och interessant musik ” - Jan Strand
— Orkesterjournalen (SE)

About Oh Purity
Oh Purity is an award winning collaboration between Danish singer and songwriter Trinelise Vaering, the Finland-Swedish pianist and composer Jonas Berg and one of the finest European baroque ensembles Barokksolistene, headed by the Norwegian solo violinist Bjarte Eike.
Oh Purity is a unique meeting between 9 outstanding and creative musicians from 6 countries and several genres: early music, moderne jazz and indie rock/pop.
The repertoire is based on a handful of alternative/indie-pop/jazz songs written and arranged by Trinelise Vaering and the Jonas Berg, and originally commissioned by the Wundergrund festival 2010. Oh Purity was the finale concert at the Copenhagen festival that year and the Danish radio broadcasted the whole concert. At the end of the year Trinelise and Jonas received a prestigious (præmiering) award from the Danish Art Foundation for their original songs.
Repertiore: Although these gracefully swung melodies posses a timeless quality, it is not “classical” music, but rather songs from the borderland between the genres, arranged for some of Europe’s finest baroque musicians, Trinelises refreshingly unvarnished vocal and Jonas Bergs exquisitely tasteful piano.
The line-up includes a.o the distinctive sound of Swede Johannes Lundberg's eloquent bass, Dutch Eduard Wesly's Obo da caccia, German Adrian Rovatkay's dulcian, as well as a string section fronted by the Norwegian solo violinist Bjarte Eike. The baroque musicians play on original instruments. As an example Rovatkay plays a Dulcian instead of a modern bassoon and the violin section play small baroque violins.
