On October 4, Danish singer-songwriter Trinelise Væring will release her latest single, "I’m Not A Quitter," a stirring anthem of perseverance and passion. This track sets the stage for her upcoming album, A Songwriter’s Odyssey, which will drop on January 31, 2025. This will be Væring’s eighth solo album and marks a deep dive into Americana and alt-country music. “I’m Not A Quitter” showcases a gritty, bluesy Americana/Nordicana style, featuring standout acoustic instruments like dobro and western guitar. The song captures themes of stamina, empowerment, and resilience, mirroring Væring’s own journey through the challenges of the music industry.
Written in a burst of inspiration, “I’m Not A Quitter” reflects Væring’s determination to
keep chasing her musical dreams. The track’s rustic feel is enhanced by Scott Smith’s dobro, adding richness to its themes of resilience and empowerment. This single not only previews
the album but also highlights Væring’s dedication as an artist who faces new challenges
with unwavering passion.
The album, produced by acclaimed Canadian producer John Raham, was recorded in Vancouver, BC. Raham, known for his work on sevaral JUNO award winning and POLARIS PRIZE-nominated albums, previously collaborated with Væring on her Danish-language album, Du går ind ad en dør. Their renewed partnership has allowed Væring to bring her vision to life with Raham’s expert touch.

complements Væring’s heartfelt lyrics with a warm, organic sound that perfectly fits the album’s Americana roots.
